Port Meridian has entered the commercialisation phase and is pursuing discussions with a number of parties with respect to the sale of long term LNG regas capacity in the deepwater port.

The port will be located 35 kilometres offshore of the coastline of Fylde, North West England and south-west of Barrow-in-Furness. The associated onshore facilities will be located near the existing South Morecambe Terminal, in the vicinity of Barrow-in-Furness.

Various permits relating to the offshore installations of Port Meridian have been approved by the relevant authorities. The port is expected to deliver first gas by the 4th quarter of 2014.
